POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounting & Tax Manager leads and manages multiple operations of the accounting and tax practice area to deliver quality services that will ensure compliance with GAAP and minimize the amount of tax our clients pay. Effectively manages accounting and tax activities to deliver key financial management reports and compliance of taxes to reduce errors.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
- Build relationships and interact with clients to provide excellent planning, consulting, and expertise; conduct periodic meetings with clients to determine the effectiveness of financial plans and fine-tune the tactics
- Review balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements
- Oversee all financial management, planning, systems, and controls for clients, including income statements, balance sheets, budgeting, forecasts, and charts of accounts
- Review the preparation and delivery of monthly financial reporting packages, activity reports, and financial forecasts for clients
- Oversee the quarterly/annual budgeting, revenue forecasting, and financial review process for assigned clients
- Provide innovative tax planning and review complex income tax returns
- Identify and mitigate tax risks
- Oversee tax provision and tax compliance process
- Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices
- Manage and coordinate tax audits
- Attend and participate in internal meetings and complete required training
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting
- Understanding of and ability to adhere to GAAP
- Knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and all types of tax returns
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of Quickbooks Online, tax software, and MS Office

POSITION SUMMARY
The Staff Accountant will be dedicated to developing the necessary skills to advance within the organization within a 12–18-month period with ongoing assessment of performance and achievement of metrics with the primary goal of becoming a WE leader responsible for overall team success.
This role will work alongside the top performing accountant and assist in managing client tax returns and financials as well as working closely with our client’s management team and team leads to prepare budgets, review the organizational guidelines and procedures to ensure the business is following required regulations, work with accounts payable and receivable and resolve problems as necessary. They will also assist in the development of financial statements regarding the company’s profits, loss statements, and balance sheets. Duties will also include processing and recording transactions, preparing reports and budgets, preparation of tax returns, and fielding communications with clients.
Attention to detail: The Staff Accountant will have to reconcile accounts, noticing any discrepancies and miscalculations. This requires strong observation skills and keen attention to detail.
Problem-solving skills: Staff Accountants work closely with the accounting team and upper management. The ability to identify a problem and resolve it appropriately is critical to resolving potential mistakes. Reconciling accounts requires a comparison between reports, accounts and line items. Locating a discrepancy and resolving the error is easiest when you can identify the problem and take the steps to resolve it without excessive time spent.
Skill with technology: Staff Accountants will benefit most from being adept with technology. Accounting software, spreadsheet programs and standard email are all key elements in this type of work. Being comfortable with these programs will enable the candidate to succeed as a Staff Accountant.
Communication: Because Staff Accountants interact with multiple staff members, the ability to communicate clearly and effectively is beneficial to a productive individual. Phone conversations, written communication via email and formal letters, as well as in-person meetings all require the Staff Accountant to have the ability to convey their ideas, concerns and solutions.
